Pre-Surgical and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Are you thinking about getting a surgery, or trying to avoid a surgery? Physical therapy services have been proven to help individuals avoid surgeries in many situations. In fact, physical therapy has been found to be just as effective as many surgical interventions, such as degenerative disk disease, meniscus injuries, and sciatica.

If surgery is necessary, we still recommend coming to our clinic for “prehab” before your surgery. The stronger and more prepared you are before the surgery, the stronger and more resilient you will be following the surgery. Furthermore, physical therapy will be a major part of your recovery process to promote healing and help you obtain the best outcomes. Please contact us today so we can help you during this process.

Joint Pain

Joint, Nerve, or Muscle Pain

  • Neck or Back Pain
  • Headaches or TMJ
  • Shoulder or Elbow Pain
  • Hip or Knee Pain
  • Foot or Ankle Pain
  • Nerve or Sciatic Pain
  • Muscle Strains or Sprains
Do you have constant pain in your low back, hips, or even your thighs? Are you having difficulty finding relief? At Alive Physical Therapy, we are all Doctors of Physical Therapy and experts in human movement. We can address all of these problems by finding the source of your pain and disability.

We will perform a thorough movement assessment and examine the area that is bothering you. We will then help you figure out why this problem is occurring. Many common issues include the following: stiffness, tightness, weakness, overuse, injury, or tearing. The good news is that all of these problems can be fixed with therapy. Weakness can be strengthened. Tightness and stiffness can be stretched. Injuries and tearing can be healed naturally by facilitating blood flow. If you’re having any of these issues, please call us today.
Injuries

Sports Injuries

Many people get injured during a sport and try resting and anti-inflammatory medications as the first line of defense. If that doesn’t work, what’s next? Oftentimes, rest or medicine isn’t enough to return to your prior level of performance.

We understand how frustrating these injuries can be. If this is you, please come into our clinic for a sport injury assessment. Not only will we help you facilitate you body’s natural healing process, but we will also help you identify the underlying cause of the injury. We want to help you recover faster so you can get back to your sport and live life to the fullest.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a safe, non-medicinal, highly effective treatment technique used to facilitate blood flow and help reduce pain. Its mechanism is similar to a splinter in your skin. When a splinter gets into your skin, you will notice the skin gets a little hot, red, and irritated. This is our body’s natural healing process – inflammation. Blood is rushing to the splinter trying to get it out. If left alone, our bodies would eventually eject that splinter out naturally.

We use dry needling to direct blood flow to your injury or pain. It has been shown to be useful for many conditions including the following:

  • Tendonitis
  • Overuse Injuries
  • Sports Injuries
  • Headaches
  • Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Arthritis
  • TMJ
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
  • And More!
